Winter updates!

Okay, I have a confession. I am writing this in June. That's how far behind I have gotten in my life with blogging! So, I have gone through my favorite pictures of each month since January, and I am going to post those and try to remember the highlights that happened!

Snowboarding/Skiing

The first thing that we kept busy with in January and February was skiing and snowboarding! We really didn't have a lot of snow this year, but the majority of the snow that we did get was probably in the month of February! So, I went skiing two times I think - once with Josh and Caleb and once with Josh, Cody, and Lindsey. Caleb had a pass to Targhee and a pass to Kelly (that he somehow got for free!) so he went a lot. Avery went once with Josh and Caleb. I'm not great, but it was still fun! I haven't gone in probably ten years! This was Caleb's last season of snowboarding for a while because he will be leaving on his mission this fall! *But we will get to that later! ;)

Gabe transfers to GRANADA!

In February, Gabe got transfered from Valdemoro to Granada! So he left Elder Hulterstrom and traveled to Granada. Crazy story... he was supposed to take this certain train on a Tuesday that went all the way down from Madrid to southern Spain. It was like, a main train line that connects central and southern Spain. Anyways, two days before he was supposed to take it, it DERAILED and killed over 40 people!!! It was so crazy. It was all over the news. I was so grateful it didn't happen when Gabe was on it! So he ended up staying an extra week in Valdemoro, but it was actually really cool because he got to see two people that he had been teaching get baptized! One was named Javier. I can't remember the other one!

Then when he finally got to Granada, he got to be companions with Elder Cabrera! They got along really well and I think Joao (that's his first name... we are on a first name basis now) may actually come to live with us if he comes to BYUI in the next year! So, they were together for two transfers, and then in the middle of April, Joao went home to Brazil and Elder Drysdale came to join Gabe! Gabe LOVES Granada! The ward is amazing, there's lots of work to do, and the city is beautiful. He found out recently that he is finishing out his mission there!! So exciting!!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was also in February! Caleb didn't go to the Sweethearts Dance because he was dating Rachel from about October to January and then they broke up a couple weeks before the dance, so everyone had already basically asked who they were going with. But Caleb was fine just going snowboarding that day! ;) Josh and I went out to dinner at Da Pineapple Grill (I think with Claire and Nathan too) and I got some little gifts for Caleb and Avery.
